Art Basel - Scope Art Fair - The Robert Fontaine Gallery

Robert Fontaine is pleased to announce WHILE YOU WERE FUCKING OFF, a site- specific installation at the SCOPE art fair by artist C. Finley.
The show will feature new paintings; photos, videos and a massive WHILE YOU WERE FUCKING OFF installation. The installation begins with a 23x8x6 foot dumpster, continues into the art fair and culminates in the WC. The installation is not only site specific but also encourages audience participation. Viewers will rant and gossip with sharpies on the installation adding an element of chance participation and surprise to the work. WYWFO project seeks to address art, apathy and abundance in 2011.
Inside of the A-39 Robert Fontaine booth at the scope art fair, C. Finley continues her stylistically promiscuous practice with new paintings continuing her investigation into the divine feminine, color, geometry and magic lines. These new paintings serve as the impetus for a video collaboration with artist Jason Akira Somma. The STUDIES IN FEEDBACK series is an ongoing investigation into the analog video corruption and video choreography for which Somma is noted. Further collaborative works include a photographic series featuring artists Eddy Segal and Sara Jean Gruenwald.
